Dating back to the 16th century, Fujairah Fort is the oldest and largest fort in the UAE. It was constructed to protect the city from invaders and pirates and features three major sections: the square tower, the round tower, and the hall. Admire its architecture and learn about its history at the adjacent museum. Built with local materials like rock, gravel, and mortar, the fort has four watchtowers and a central hall, playing a crucial role in resisting colonial forces.
The Al Bidyah Mosque, from the 15th century, is the oldest mosque in the UAE.
